WPP has been named a Leader among Global Digital Experience Service providers by Forrester Research, Inc., out of a field of 14 of the most significant service providers invited to participate in the study. The report identifies that:

Digital experiences happen in the moments that customers stumble across, actively pursue, or are compelled to have something. To deliver a great and consistent experience in every moment, companies need an integrated ecosystem, not point solutions for each department and channel.

The report, The Forrester Wave?: Global Digital Experience Services, Q2 2022, assessed providers against 21 criteria spanning three categories: Current Offering, Strategy, and Market Presence. Among these categories, WPP received the highest scores possible in 9 criteria, including customer experience strategy and insights services, digital marketing and digital commerce strategy and implementation services, along with immersive experiences. WP’s vision, execution, innovation roadmap and planned enhancements also topped the strategy scorecard.

In the report, Forrester notes, “Compared with others we evaluated, WPP's services excel in customer experience strategy and insights, digital marketing and commerce strategy and implementation, and immersive (AR/VR) experiences.” It goes on to state, “Customer references liked WPP’s flexibility and agility. One reference customer noted WPP’s “openness to developing a deep enough relationship where both sides can say ‘this will not work’ and each can trust each other.”

Mark Read, WPP CEO, said: “We’re delighted to be recognised as a global leader for digital experience services. Creative transformation fuses excellence across the whole customer journey – from strategy and insights to execution of experiences that make brands relevant, accessible and sustainable. Our clients trust us to partner with them to realise their end-to-end customer engagement ambitions.”

Stephan Pretorius, WPP’s Chief Technology Officer, said: “We are committed to creativity powered by technology at WPP which is why it is edifying that this report bears out this commitment and the distinction our agencies apply to the work they originate and deliver for clients, day-in, day-out."

It’s fantastic to see WPP called out for its strengths in customer experience, digital marketing and commerce, and for our ability to “unify engagement across the entire customer journey”. This is an area where Wunderman Thompson’s blend of consultancy, creativity and technology really comes to the fore, supported by our strong data offer.
